An Overconsumption Of One Nutrient Leads To A Deficiency In Another
One of the best things that this “Keto” trend has brought to our attention is the over consumption of a particular Macronutrient (protein, fat, carb, water.)
Eating a balanced diet with quality fats & carbohydrates & protein means regulating water consumption to balance. I’ve learned over time that an overconsumption of one nutrient leads to a deficiency in another, as we only have room for so much...
Disclaimer: I am not a “diet” zealot... I have experienced but do not follow a singular nutrition philosophy, be it Keto, Paleo, Vegan, Raw Plant based or Carnivore as a lifestyle for a multitude of reasons....
However, I do strongly suggest modifying your nutrition & exercise to optimise life quality, while being supervised & accountable to both a nutritionist & a fitness expert.
Anti-aging expert Ron Rosedale, M.D., was among the first to warn people about the dangers of eating too much of any macronutrient, including protein... a stance that has received a fair share of criticism over the years. Although mounting research now offers strong support for this notion. It shocks people in my office when this topic is discussed... as they tend to focus on the removal or overcompensation of one particular “vilified” or “free” nutrient.
A balanced “real food” diet is an Important Dietary Strategy for Optimal Health.
