Changing Food Helps with Insulin Needs
I have something so phenomenal to share with all of you who have any kind of health ailment. The food we eat is totally key in how well you will manage and handle your health issues. I have sought help from a professional to tweak my food intake to help me with my weight. Over 6 years ago, I went on a concentrated form of insulin. Immediately, I began to put on weight. For these past 6 years I have fought and struggled just to maintain a weight that was too high to be healthy. In 16 short days, I am dropping weight. That is good. However, there are two more things occurring that are astounding. I was taking the equivalent of 210 units of insulin a day just sixteen days ago. Today, I am taking 110 units per day.
Six years ago I was taking 325 units a day and had managed to drop 115 units by changing my eating. It took me six years to accomplish that because I just couldn't find the right formula. It has taken me 16 short days to drop 100 units of insulin per day. When I inquired where my diabetes would take me in terms of insulin use, I was warned the disease was progressive, insulin requirements would increase and losing weight would be close to impossible. Some parts of my brain just could not accept this. The other thing that has occurred is due to extreme inflammation from Lupus and diabetes, I had to start taking cannabis for pain relief. In those same 16 days, I have cut my cannabis use in half. My hope is in a few months to not require cannabis at all. I also hope to come off my insulin pump and at the most, need one low dosage of regular insulin a day. There is even the slight possibility of total remission of the diabetes, which would mean my pancreas would once again produce insulin. All for the power of foods that heal. I acknowledge that I have a genetic form of diabetes. I am proving that there is a way of eating to deal with those genetics.
One of my biggest eating mistakes was that I was shying away from fruit because I regarded it as too sweet. It turns out, your liver needs fruit to function properly and to cleanse itself. I am now eating 4 servings of fruit per day and have amazing sugar levels in the 5.5 range. I have one more challenge and that is a damaged liver. Four months from now, I have a liver ultrasound and will discover if there is improvement in my liver. I will let you know. If anybody is really struggling out there with daunting health issues, message me and I will give you any information that I can to help you. Most importantly, please let no one tell you things will not improve. That sets you up for failure and gives you permission to stop trying. Don't look for or accept excuses to remain in a state of poor health. Find it within yourself to change your circumstances and get healthier. I truly smell spring and new awakenings today!!!!
