We all want to be special
But when it comes to food we’re all pretty similar. We fail diet after diet & we think it’s because we are doomed & our bodies hate us...
That’s exactly what this messed up dieting industry sells you too. “You’re special”. Sure you are, but in who you are as a person, not so much what diet you need. Food does what food does. Bodies know what to do with said food. But when we mismanage food and ask it to do something else it can’t work. We wonder why we haven’t found the key to our weight loss and it’s because we never tried to open the lock. It turns out it’s never been locked and doesn’t require any special key at all.
This requires some basics that are too general to try. These basics seemed too “cookie-cutter” and were avoided and results were left on the table. “Oh, that doesn’t work for me”. What? You’re not an alien, Mary. You’re a product of a messed up food environment and you never became brilliant at the basics.
Eat the right amount
Make friends with protein
Limit processed foods
Learn what moderation actually means
Build strategies around doing those things and you’ll stop searching for something that doesn’t exist.
You’ll learn you’re not special with food and that’s cool because it means you can focus on being special somewhere else.
